Utah Lake Bibliography

Bibliography background
There is a rich historical body of literature pertaining to Utah Lake, and new such literature is distributed every year. The objective of this bibliography effort is to centralize the valuableUtah Lake literature and make it available for managers, research scientist, and others who may benefit from such information. The focus has been to compile literature that is relevant to UtahLake history, ecosystem management and restoration, and to recovery of the endangered June sucker (Chasmistes liorus). Through funding provided by the June Sucker RecoveryImplementation Program (JSRIP), this effort was initiated in 2003 by Dr. Todd A. Crowl and his aquatic ecology laboratory at Utah State University (USU). With help from JSRIP team members,Dr. Crowl’s lab compiled a reference list of relevant literature, created digital copies of historical paper documents, obtained existing digital copies of more recent literature, and then created an ®Endnote bibliography with corresponding digital documents if available.

Currently, through JSRIP funding, the Utah Lake Bibliography is being maintained by Kevin Landom and the Dr. Jereme Gaeta Lake Ecology Lab at USU. A reference list (below) and a folder with pdfs (here) is organized using the last name of the first author and publication year as pdf names. This bibliography effort is an ongoing process of updating existing and adding additional literature. At present, the bibliography contains 289 literature references, primarily representative of reports, graduate student theses and dissertations, and published peer reviewed articles. Corresponding pdfs have been archived for 247 references, and we are seeking to obtain digital copies for the additional 42 references. An alphabetized reference list of the current Utah Lake Bibliography is provided below.
